Feast of Tabernacles
The truth of the matter is YHWH ordained all the feasts for HIS people to celebrate,
because we are the living tabernacles.
This is one of the truths about YHWH’s love for HIS people.
Heb 3:1-7, 14: 1) Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling,
consider the Master and High Priest of our profession, Yahushua the Messiah; 2
Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his
house. 3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch
as he who hath builded the tabernacle hath more honour than the tabernacle. 4
For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is YHWH. 5
And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of
those things which were to be spoken after; 6 But Yahushua as a son over his own
tabernacle; whose tabernacle are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the
rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
14 For we are made partakers of Yahushua the Messiah, if we hold the beginning
of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
So we all must see the feasts are for us here and then in the heavenly home! I do hope
that all who see this learns of them and do consider the importance of them in the
eternal future.

1. The Feast ordained by YHWH
A. YHWH said to Moses, 33 And the YHWH spake unto Moses, saying, 34 Speak
unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall
be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto YHWH. 35 On the first day shall be
an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. 36 Seven days ye shall
offer an offering made by fire unto the YHWH: on the eighth day shall be an holy
convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the
YHWH: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.
Leviticus 23:33-36
1. The feast has two annual Sabbath days- the first day of the feast and the eighth day
of the feast( the 15th and the 22nd day of the seventh biblical month).
2. The Feast is for offerings made by fire to YHWH. Worship YHWH with passion
during the Feast; your wholehearted worship is an offering made by fire to YHWH.
B. “ And ye shall keep it a feast unto YHWH seven days in the year. It shall be a
statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
Leviticus 23:41
1. People celebrate what they are happy about.
2. The Feast of tabernacles is a great celebration of our soon coming King Yahushua.
C. 16 Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the YHWH thy God
in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the
feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before
the YHWH empty handed: Deuteronomy 16:16
1. Who are you appearing before when you celebrate YHWH’s Feasts?
2. What are you bringing to our Creator and King?
II. Yahushua at the Feast of Tabernacles
A. Yahushua the Messiah went physically to the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem.
Now the Jews’ feast of tabernacles was at hand. 3 His brethren therefore said
unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the
works that thou doest. 4 For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and
he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the
world. 5 For neither did his brethren believe in him. 6 Then Yahushua said unto
them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready. 7 The world cannot
hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. 8
Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full
come. 9 When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee. 10 But
when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly,
but as it were in secret. John 7:2-10)
1. At first Yahushua did not go up to the Feast, but told HIS disciples to go.
2. Later HE did go up to the Feast, but in secret.
B. Yahushua has yet to come spiritually to the Feast of Tabernacles in all HIS glory.
1. Then Yahushua said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway
ready. 7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that
the works thereof are evil. 8 Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this
feast; for my time is not yet full come. (John 7:6-8)
2. Another version puts verse 8 this way: 8 Go to the festival yourselves. I am not
going to this festival, for my time has not yet fully come.” (John 7:8)
3. Yahushua told HIS disciples and all of us that HIS complete, dynamic, glorious
appearance at the Feast of Tabernacles is yet to come.
III. The Feast of Tabernacles a dynamic shadow of
what is to come.
Of what we should do here and what we will do in the new Kingdom of YHWH.
A. Therefore do not let anyone condemn you in matters of food and drink or of
observing festivals, new moons, or sabbaths. 17 These are only a shadow of what
is to come, but the substance belongs to Yahushua. (Colossians 2:16-17)
1. There cannot be a shadow without there being something real to cast the shadow.
2. The Feasts of YHWH are shadows of what YHWH is doing spiritually, a shadow
both of what HE has done and what HE is yet to do.
B. Both of the other major two feasts already have fulfillments in Yahushua.
1. Passover and Unleavened bread were fulfilled when Yahushua died on the cross on
Passover and was raised from the dead during the Feast of Unleavened bread, thus
becoming both our Passover Lamb and our living bread of life.
2. The Feast of Weeks (Pentecost) was fulfilled when Yahushua poured out HIS Holy
Spirit on HIS church/ tabernacles on the day of Pentecost.
C. The Feast of Tabernacles still awaits a spiritual fulfillment by Yahushua.
IV. Assembling to King Yahushua
A. Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the
feast which was in the seventh month. (2 Chronicles 5:3)
1. YHWH’s people were united in assembling to the king at the Feast of Tabernacles,
YHWH filled HIS house/ tabernacle with HIS glory.
And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the
priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course: 12 Also
the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun,
with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals
and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an
hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:) 13 It came even to pass, as
the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in
praising and thanking the YHWH; and when they lifted up their voice with the
trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised YHWH, saying, For
he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a
cloud, even the house of YHWH; 14 So that the priests could not stand to minister
by reason of the cloud: for the glory of YHWH had filled the house of YHWH. (2
Chronicles 5: 11-14)
2. If we can unite our hearts about assembling to the King Yahushua at the Feast of
Tabernacles, we should look for HIM to pour HIS glory out on us as well.
B. And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which
came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King,
YHWH of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. (Zechariah 14:16)
1. You can count on it: Yahushua will do something absolutely glorious for HIS people
in the Feast of Tabernacles that will make it without question the most important festival
in world history.
